Who invented aluminium foil?
This picture is of Charles Martin Hall, the man who is considered the "inventor" of aluminium foil. He is only considered the inventor because he did not actually invent the item, but he did come up with an inexpensive way to produce the item. Therefore, he is responsible for the aluminium foil used today.
His inexpensive way to mass produce the item really helped the price of it. In 1852 it cost $1,200 for only a kilogram of it and in 1914 the price had gone all the way down to 18 cents a pound. Not to mention on April 2,1889, he had got given a patent for producing the metal.
